Japanese Woodblock Prints - How They Are Made

While living in Paris, and developing his own style of painting, Vincent van Gogh was greatly influenced by the complimentary colors he saw in Japanese woodblock prints.  Available in Paris, at the time van Gogh was there, such prints were inexpensive and the van Gogh brothers bought many of them.

This video depicts how a woodblock print is created.
