Judgment at Nuremberg - The VerdictIn this film reenactment (based, loosely, on the actual record of U.S.A. v. ALSTOETTER ET AL, also known as "The Justice Cases" and on a play by Abby Mann), Spencer Tracy (in the role of Chief Judge Dan Haywood) delivers the verdict of the court. In the real case (follow the link for excerpts from the actual decision), four judges were acquitted, four were sentenced to life and six received prison terms ranging from five to ten years. The various war-crime trials began in Nuremberg on the 20th of November, 1945. CreditsClip from Judgment at Nuremberg (1961) |
