Judgment at Nuremberg - The Verdict

In this film reenactment (based, loosely, on the actual record of U.S.A. v. ALSTOETTER ET AL, also known as "The Justice Cases" and on a play by Abby Mann), Spencer Tracy (in the role of Chief Judge Dan Haywood) delivers the verdict of the court. 

The scene, set at the conclusion of one of the War Crime Trials held in the German city of Nuremberg, involves allegations against some of Germany's leading judges. 

In the real case (follow the link for excerpts from the actual decision), four judges were acquitted, four were sentenced to life and six received prison terms ranging from five to ten years.

The various war-crime trials began in Nuremberg on the 20th of November, 1945.
