Lusitania - Record-setting Ship

The Lusitania set sail from New York City in the spring of 1915, despite a warning from the German government which threatened to sink non-military ships sailing in “waters adjacent to the British Isles.”  It is doubtful the ship’s passengers were aware of that warning (or took it seriously).
