Lusitania - Record-setting ShipThe Lusitania set sail from New York City in the spring of 1915, despite a warning from the German government which threatened to sink non-military ships sailing in “waters adjacent to the British Isles.” It is doubtful the ship’s passengers were aware of that warning (or took it seriously). CreditsThis video clip is from the BBC’s recreation of the ship, and the story of her 1915 sinking, entitled Lusitania: Murder on the Atlantic. |
