Navajo - The Long Walk, Part 8

James Henry Carlton, who engineered the Bosque Rodondo experiment, was roundly criticized for what happened to the Navajo.  It was not the last of the conflicts between Native Americans and the U.S. military.

The 1868 Navajo treaty provided that the nation's children would be educated.  Not all agreed with the methods.  Some of the children ran away from their boarding schools.
