Opana Point - Scene of Portable Radar

This map, from the U.S. National Park Service, depicts the location of the Opana Point Radar station.  The radar operators working Opana Point, the morning of December 7th, 1941, picked-up signs of incoming planes.  They were misinterpreted, however, as planes (which were expected) flying in from mainland America.
