Pablo Escobar's Home - Hacienda NapolesWhen he was a drug lord, Escobar built a palatial estate in Colombia which he called Hacienda Napoles. He maintained a private zoo, at the home, which also included reconstructed dinosaurs. In addition to other animals, he imported a herd of hippos. This clip, from a National Geographic film on Escobar, pays a visit to his once impressive estate and tracks what happened to the hippos. Today, Escobar's former home is a theme park which attracts about 50,000 visitors a year. See, also: "Sins of My Father," featuring Sebastian Marroquin (Pablo Escobar's son)
