Pete Pierpont - Dillinger Gang MemberHarry ("Pete") Pierpont (1902-1934) met John Dillinger at Pendleton, an Indiana reformatory. The two men remained close associates for the rest of Dillinger's life. Historians believe that Dillinger learned his bank-robbing skills from Pendleton and other inmates incarcerated at the Indiana State Prison located in Michigan City, Indiana. When asked why he robbed banks, Pierpont said: "I stole from the bankers who stole from the people." CreditsPhoto of Harry ("Pete") Pierpont - mugshot from the Ohio Department of Corrections.
