Quantum Mechanics - Probabilities versus Certainties

People working on quantum mechanics began to find that certain laws of physics differed from Einstein’s beliefs.  Accurate predictions, they said, could not always be made when applying the laws of the universe.  Einstein, on the other hand, said:  “I cannot believe that God plays dice with the universe.”

Determining that probabilities (not certainties) was the best one could do was inconsistent with Einstein’s philosophy of science.  He began a series of dialogues with a good friend - Niels Bohr - which are still studied today.
