Randy Shughart

Sgt. First Class Randall (Randy) David Shughart bravely volunteered to put himself into harm's way to try and save trapped Rangers in the battle of Mogadishu. He died as a result and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.

At his death, on the 3rd of October 1993, he was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army's prestigious special ops unit, the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1SFOD-D), otherwise known as "Delta Force."
