Rembrandt - Descent from the Cross

The Dutch painter Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, commonly known as simply Rembrandt, painted this work in 1634.  It depicts the friends of Jesus caring for His body after death.

Known as Descent from the Cross, the work is now owned by the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia.
