San Francisco - City of Horse-Drawn Carriages in 1906This historic footage, filmed by the Thomas Edison film company in April of 1906, reveals very few cars in the city at the time of the great earthquake and fire. Although we see a few automobiles, transportation is mostly by horse, horse-drawn carriage and streetcar.
