San Luis Potosi - Map LocatorThis map depicts the location of San Luis Potosi, a state in Mexico where the first reported case of Swine Influenza A/H1N1 caused a death in April of 2009. Additional cases of the same type of swine flu, some resulting in death, were reported in the state. Spanish Flu, a deadly epidemic which ravaged the world between 1918-19, was also caused by a strain of swine influenza.
