Shah Jahan - Peacock ThroneBelieved to be one of the most valuable artifacts ever created, the Peacock Throne was commissioned by Shah Jahan. It was he who created the Taj Mahal as a memorial for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Because of its value, the Peacock Throne was frequently the object of plunder. Today, what is left of it is housed at the Golestan Palace in Iran.
