Statue of Liberty - Air Force One FlyoverOn the 27th of April, 2009, one of the President's official planes - called Air Force One when the President is on board - flew over the Statue of Liberty. People working in Lower Manhattan panicked (and evacuated their offices) when they saw the Boeing 747 flying at 1000 feet. The image of a low-flying plane, in New York City, had caused people to remember the events of September 11. Air Force officials estimated the out-of-pocket costs for this photo amounted to $328,835.
