Stroop Photos - Stroop Observes Destruction

This photo depicts SS General Jürgen Stroop, in charge of the Warsaw-Ghetto operation.  Wearing a field cap, he is looking at the results of the ghetto's destruction.

The original caption, in the Stroop Report, states: "Der Führer der Großaktion."  In English, that means:  "The leader of the large-scale action."
