The Gunpowder Plot - The Plan

The plan was to kill the king and his male relations.  But how would that happen?

A house, conveniently located next to the House of Lords, was available to rent - and the conspirators took advantage of it.  Guy Fawkes moved into the apartment to minimize any suspicion.  He called himself Jhon Jhonson.

At the time, spies were everywhere.  Sir Robert Cecil, Secretary of State, read all of the intelligence which was gathered.  Because the opening of Parliament was delayed in 1605, due to plague in London, more time passed before the plot could be executed.  That meant more time for the conspirators to be found out.
