The Man Who Wanted to Know Everything - Part 5

One of Leonardo's designs was a strange-looking tank to use in war.  The British army tested the design by having it actually rendered as a potential product - with unsatisfying results.  The problem?  Its gears were on the wrong ends.

It is possible, however, that da Vinci built a design flaw into his product to keep his idea from being stolen.  When the design was corrected, and the tank worked, experts marveled at its war-making capability.

After working in Milan for thirteen years, Leonardo was entrusted with a major project - a fresco of Jesus and his disciples at the Last Supper.  The problem with this task, however, is that da Vinci had little fresco-painting experience.

Normally, a fresco painter must work quickly, but that was not Leonardo's way.  "Getting on with it" was not da Vinci's style.

Once again ... he had to devise a different technique to carry out his plan for the fresco.
