Trial of Jesus - Possible Prison, Herodian Fortress
Another possible location, of the trial before Pilate, is Herod's Palace and Fortress, located on the west side of Jerusalem, near the Jaffe Gate. Historians believe that whenever Roman Prefacts (such as Pilate) visited Jerusalem, they stayed at Herod's Palace. This photograph depicts an area of that Herodian fortress.
