Tuthmosis III - A Mummy's Face

Tuthmosis III was unwrapped, in 1882, by Emile Brugsch.  Earlier, grave robbers had damaged his remains in their quest to take the Pharaoh's jewels.  His head, however, was not damaged.

Today, the mummified remains of Thutmose III are maintained at the Royal Mummies Hall in the Cairo Museum.  They are identified as catalog number 61068.
