William Schreuder was the Flight Engineer on KLM 4805. Alarmed when he heard a conversation between the Pan Am crew and Tenerife ground control, he questioned whether the other 747 was off the active runway. The pilot-in-command, and the first officer, assured him that it was. They were wrong. |
