Braveheart

The movie, Braveheart starring Mel Gibson, won many Academy Awards, including best picture. Some of the details, however, are not historically accurate.

Edward II, the first Prince of Wales, was not cut from the same cloth as his father. An ineffectual king, he lost the battle for Scotland to Robert the Bruce.
