Jim Morris was a high school science teacher and baseball coach when he made a deal with his team, the Reagan County Owls. If they made it into the playoffs, he'd try out for the majors.
Morris could throw a fastball at nearly 100 miles an hour. He just didn't realize how good he'd become. Working with the kids at Reagan County High School had helped HIM too. He was 35 when the Tampa Bay Devil Rays asked him to join their team.
