"Day in Infamy" - FDR Changes to First Draft of Speech

President Roosevelt's first choice of words, in his famous December 8th speech, was not "day in infamy." This facsimile, of his marked-up draft, reveals the original sentence began:

Yesterday, December 7, 1941, a date which will live in world history ...
