Who else was responsible in the overthrow? If you want to learn more just keep reading. There are some things from the overthrow you might have not of known like the Queen’s actions, the people involved in the overthrow, and about the Hawaiian Throne. Queen Liliuokalani was very important in Hawaiian History. There are very surprising things from the overthrow.

One of the next things that happened was what the Queen did (Queen’s actions). For example, when the Queen was asked to step down from the Hawaiian Throne (Biography.com). It was asked to her and she soon was disposed on January 17, 1893. Earlier in Hawaii, before the overthrow really started, one thing that happened was in the beginning of the overthrow when troops from the United States took over the Iolani Palace with more than 495 troops, more than 85 police, and so much more (National Women’s History Museum.com). Later that was when the Queen was arrested for treason in 1895 and then brought to trial and then imprisoned (Hawaiialive.org). Also Queen Liliuokalani also then really tried to fight for the kingdom of Hawaii with a group that was created the protested but didn’t succeed. Overall the Queen’s actions were good and bad in many different ways.

Something else important in history was the people that caused the overthrow. One of the people was a group of American businessmen in Hawaii that were involved. Then there were some people such as Lorrin A. Thurston and Sanford B. Dole with their farmers. There was also people involved who didn’t like her from the changes the Queen later made. Lorrin A. Thurston was really connected to Hawaii because he was a lawyer, politician, and businessman of Hawaii. Sanford B. Dole was also connected because he was also a lawyer and he was a jurist of Hawaii. Sanford B. Dole was also an enemy to the Hawaiian royalty and some of the other Hawaiians. Another thing was some of the same people signed a document to end the Hawaiian monarchy. Overall, there were many different people involved in ending the Hawaiian monarchy.           

One of the main things in the overthrow was about the Hawaiian monarchy of Queen Liliuokalani. First, Queen Liliuokalani became queen by taking the throne from her brother, King David Kalakaua, after his death. Also, Queen Liliuokalani was the first woman to occupy the Hawaiian throne (Britannica.com). In addition, AlohaHawaii.com had said, “ The Queen also had the distinction of being the last monarch of Hawaii.” Lastly, she was forced to give up the Hawaiian Throne. Queen Liliuokalani being the last monarch of Hawaii was very important.

In conclusion, during the overthrow, an amount of people in Hawaii were upset, including the Hawaiian royalty and family. Also the people involved in the overthrow caused some of the Queen’s actions to be good and some bad. American people of Hawaii involved in the overthrow were good and bad to the Hawaiian Islands. The Hawaiian Throne is one of the main things involved in this big event. Sanford B. Dole also established a new provincial government for all of the people in Hawaii.
