B-52 Stratofortress Bomber

B-52 Stratofortress Bomber American History Government World History Cold War

The B-52 has been in service for six decades.  Alvin M. ("Tex") Johnston - Boeing's chief test pilot - first flew the eight-engine plane on April 15, 1952.

This plane is capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
