Barack Obama in Egypt - June 4, 2009 American History Disasters Tragedies and Triumphs Government

On the 4th of June, 2009, America's President, Barack Obama, delivered a speech at Cairo University.  Planned for some time, the speech was enitled "A New Beginning." 

Speaking for just under an hour, the President addressed several issues in his effort to commence a positive dialogue.  He also noted that in addition to searching for common ground, America would "relentlessly confront violent extremists who pose a grave threat to our security."
