Bran Castle - "Dracula's Castle"

Bran Castle -

This image depicts Bran Castle, a 14th-century structure located near Bran (in the vicinity of Brasov) in today’s Romania.

Now referred to as “Dracula’s Castle,” the fortress is at the border of Transylvania and Wallachia.  (The modern road, situated nearby, is DN73.)

A national monument, this castle may have ties to the real Vlad III, but then again ... maybe not.

Note that its high, steep wall fits perfectly with Bram Stoker’s story about Dracula.  Maybe the author had this castle in mind when he created his tale, but then again ... maybe not.
