The Empire State Building was once the tallest structure in the world. Unbelievably, its workers - who were photographed by Lewis M. Hine - completed New York City's famous landmark in barely more than a year.
This historic footage, incorporated into a documentary about New York, shows the building as it came to life during its 410 days of construction (beginning in March of 1930).
