Capas Train Station - Bataan Prisoners of War American History Famous Historical Events Geography Social Studies World War II Disasters

When the heavily loaded railcars arrived at Capas station, near the end of April 1942, surviving Filipino and American prisoners of war were forced to walk the rest of the way to Camp O'Donnell.

Not everyone had survived the rail journey from San Fernando to Capas because so many men had been jammed into each railcar.  Some of the soldiers died in route.
