Chocktaws - Soldiers of WW-I

Chocktaws - Soldiers of WW-I American History Famous Historical Events Native-Americans and First Peoples  Social Studies Tragedies and Triumphs World War I

During World War I about 17 members of the Choctaw Nation served as Code Talkers for the United States Military.  These Code Talkers confounded the Germans who were unable to break their code.
