Church at Auvers - Actual Place Geography Social Studies Tragedies and Triumphs Visual Arts

The Church at Auvers-sur-Oise dates back to the 13th century.  During June of 1890, Vincent van Gogh created a now-famous painting of this church.

The Musée d'Orsay provides interesting background (and commentary) about the actual structure and Vincent's interpretation of it.
