Coventry - Survivors Tell Their Story

As Nazi bombs arrived over Coventry, the onslaught began with fire bombs.  These incendiary bombs were different, however.  They were triggered to send out shards of metal.  The first attack, therefore, started fires in the city.

High explosives were dropped next.  As the government had predicted, the people of Coventry began to panic.  Not everyone had easy access to bomb shelters.

People who were children, when the bombs terrorized their city, tell their stories in this clip.
