Dillinger - With Wooden Gun at Family Home

Dillinger - With Wooden Gun at Family Home - Preview Image

This Dillinger family photograph was taken in early April, 1934, while Johnnie and Billie visited John, Sr. (at his Mooresville, Indiana farm).  Just a month after he escaped from the Crown Point jail, Dillinger is holding the gun he made from a wooden washboard.  He used that "weapon" to orchestra his jail break.
