Downed Zeppelins History Social Studies World War I Education

This image depicts a photo of the wrecked German Zeppelin L-21, lying in ruins at Cuffley in Hertfordshire, England.

The rigid airship was shot-down on the 3rd of September, 1916, by Lieutenant William Leefe Robinson VC.

German Zeppelins caused fear and damage in England during World War I.
