Edward Winslow - Good Newes from New England

The only other Pilgrim to write about life in Plimoth Plantation was Edward Winslow.  He published his book, Good Newes from New England, in 1624.

Historical records tell us that the only "Pilgrim Father" for whom we have an accurate likeness is Winslow.  This portrait was made some years after his landing in America, while he was visiting England.

While living in Leiden, Winslow worked as William Brewster's assistant in the printing of books—including books banned in England—which led to the arrest and imprisonment of their financier, Thomas Brewer.
