Enigma Heroes - Fasson, Grazier and Brown

Enigma Heroes-Fasson, Grazier and Brown

When "Hut 8" - at Bletchley Park - became part of a national tribute to the efforts of the men and women who worked so hard to break the "Enigma" codes, three individuals were given prominent recognition.

Members of the Royal Navy, all three risked their lives to retrieve current codes from a sinking U-boat.  Their pictures are displayed on a wall of Hut 8:

  • Able Seaman Colin Grazier
  • Lt. Tony Fasson
  • Canteen Assistant Tommy Brown

Both Fasson and Grazier died while retrieving the codes.
