Fort Dearborn - Early Days of Chicago American History Social Studies Tragedies and Triumphs Nineteenth Century Life

Fort Dearborn, built along the Chicago River as it nears Lake Michigan, was an early construction project in what is now known as "Chicagoland."  The fort helped to protect area residents, such as John Kinzie.
