In today's world, females and people of color study all aspects of aviation and aeronautical engineering.  Such was not the case in Bessie Coleman's day.

Had she lived, Coleman would have been thrilled to know that sophisticated projects like GLAST - the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope - include minorities and women.

As NASA stated, when GLAST was launched, it transmits data for all "the world to see."  All "the world" can also see that many different people are allowed to work on such important projects.
