Henry VI - King of England

Henry VI-King of England

This engraving of Henry VI, the English king, is by an unknown artist. Henry inherited the throne when he was nine months old.

Within two months following his father's death, Henry VI's grandfather - Charles VI, of France - also died.  That meant the one-year-old baby was sovereign of two kingdoms.

It was not a good way to begin his royal career.
