Irish Brigade - Disastrous Losses at Fredericksburg

WARNING:  THIS CLIP RECREATES SCENES FROM THE BATTLE FOR FREDERICKSBURG, DURING THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR.  IT FEATURES WHAT HAPPENED TO THE UNION'S IRISH BRIGADE AND IS NOT EASY TO WATCH.  PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

As Union forces attempted to storm a place called Marye’s Heights, at the battle of Fredericksburg, Confederate soldiers were dug-in.  Many Americans killed each other that day - December 13, 1862 - with the Union’s Irish Brigade sustaining the worst losses.

This clip, recreating those vicious and gruesome battle scenes, is from Gods and Generals
