Ivan Denisovich - Part 10

Given where he was living, in a Siberian forced-labor camp, Ivan Denisovich had a pretty good day.  He was able to sleep after working and eating.  He did not have to spend time in the cells (where it was so cold one could hardly exist).

Serving out his sentence, if all his days were good days, he would have had 3,653 similar days - the extra three days were from leap years.
