Jerusalem as It Appeared around 1187

This map—entitled "Palestine. Plan of Jerusalem about 1187"—depicts Jerusalem's layout as the city appeared circa 1187. It is from William R. Shepherd’s "Historical Atlas," which was published in 1911 by by Henry Holt and Company.

The inset, seen above, appears with another map—"Asia Minor and the States of the Crusaders in Syria, about 1140"—which also appears on page 68 of Shepherd's "Historical Atlas."
