Killer Whales - Orcas in Action

Orca whales attack, and kill, a grey-whale calf as it travels to feeding grounds with its mother.  This clip demonstrates why Orcas have another name—Killer Whales.

Who was the most-famous Orca in the modern world? That distinction belongs to Keiko—the "star" of the "Free Willy" film—who was likely born somewhere near Iceland before he was captured.

Keiko passed away, while swimming in a Norwegian fjord near Taknes, on the 12th of December, in 2003. Experts believe he was around 27 years old.
