This portrait, by an unknown artist, depicts Henry Stuart ( Lord Darnley), who became titular King of Scots while he was married to Mary, Queen of Scots.

In this image, created before his marriage, Lord Darnley (1545-1567) is in his late teens.  It was painted around 1564.

The original of this work is owned by the National Galleries of Scotland.
