Lyndon Baines Johnson was Vice President during the Kennedy Administration. After JFK was killed by an assassin's bullet, on 22 November 1963, Johnson became America's 36th president.
He was elected to the office, in his own right, the following year. This is the inaugural address he gave on the 20th of January, 1965.
