Map - Location of Collapsed Prisoners American History Famous Historical Events Social Studies World History World War II Geography

About 8,000 Americans and around 40,000 Filipinos began the Death March on Batan in April of 1942.  They had two weeks to travel 60 miles, most of it on foot through extremely difficult terrain.

This map depicts their journey, noting some of the places where soldiers collapsed.
