Dr. Mohammad Mosaddegh was the Prime Minister of Iran between 1951 and 1953.  He was much-loved by many Iranians.

A nationalist, Mosaddegh believed that Iran should control its own natural resources, most particularly its vast oil reserves.  To some Iranians, he is still "Father of the Nation," or a Patriot of Persia.
