Continuing with the "Cover Operation" for the Normandy invasion, the Allies lay-out various means by which to deceive Germany into thinking that the actual invasion will occur in a different part of France. 

Of note is that Germany learns about Allied plans by listening-in to "wireless" communications:

As the interception of our wireless traffic is one of the principal methods by which the enemy obtains information about our concentrations and preparations, all simulation must be supported or represented by the appropriate wireless activity.
