Parthenon at the Acropolis in Athens

The Parthenon is a surviving wonder of ancient Greece. Its commanding presence, on the Athenian Acropolis, still draws thousands of tourists every year.

The temple, dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, was built in the fifth century B.C.  In this video clip, about the wonders of ancient Greece, learn how the Parthenon was conceived and built.
