Peshtigo - Map Depicting the Burned Areas American History Disasters STEM Tragedies and Triumphs Nineteenth Century Life Geography

This map depicts the extensive area of fire-damage in Peshtigo, Wisconsin and its environs.  The city burned, causing significant loss of life and property damage, at the same time as Chicago burned during the Great Fire of 1871.

The dotted lines depict the area of damage.  The map was initially used in Frank Tilton's Great Fires in Wisconsin which was published, in 1871, to raise money for survivors.
